Targeting a female-specific audience, a national campaign was launched in shopping centres around South Africa. "Shopping malls are the ideal environment to target a large female, family orientated demographic, and the TLC advertising offering is unique in the way it allows us to single out a very specific target market and speak directly to them during captive dwell time," commented Andrew Kramer, MD of TLC.
"Germolene helps protect you and your family" was the tag line used in the well executed creative of the campaign. Headed by agency MS Design, the four different creatives used were cleverly animated to tie in with the accompanying safety tip for the household, i.e. "Immediately dispose of aluminium cans and sharp lids".
With its uses ranging from the treatment of abrasions and cuts to bites and stings, its certain moms the country over will be stocking up on the household legend of Germolene. With its latest campaign being yet another in a long list, its clear Aspen have great confidence in the washroom medium.
