Running until March 2009, Telkom has branded 250 full bus backs to promote its ‘Waya-Waya’ service, allowing users to cost effectively stay in touch with friends and family leading up to Christmas and into the new year.
Kevin Kirby, General Manager: Marketing & Strategy at ComutaNet explains the campaign, “Telkom wanted to communicate that for just R120 users can have connection throughout the year through its pre-paid phone option. It’s especially relevant now as we head into the festive season with many families and friends located across the country and the globe.”
The 250 buses will be traversing national roads, reaching millions of commuters, motorists and pedestrians on a daily basis. In addition to the external branding, Telkom has re-emphasised its Waya-Waya option through internal bus branding for commuters to digest whilst on short or long-term journeys.
Supplementing the bus campaign are 15 fully branded ComutaNet BrandMarks. “A BrandMark is a four sided 6m x 2.5m container with the option of displaying a 3D object on the roof,” says Kirby. “At the bottom of the container is a promotional kiosk, custom styled for the client’s exclusive use. All four sides of the container offer permanent branding solutions.”
